🚩 Nostalgic Taiwanese Cuisine, Even the AI Godfather Visits
📍 Location and Transportation: Located on Dunhua South Road in Taipei City, between the Taipei Arena and Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT Stations, about a 10-minute walk. There is a paid parking lot behind the restaurant.
🏠 Space: The exterior of the restaurant features a rare retro red brick facade in the city, with several vintage children's toys in the arcade. Entering the restaurant feels like stepping back into the 1960s, with movie posters and Tatung Baby dolls on the walls that exude a strong sense of nostalgia. The restaurant is equipped with large round tables, suitable for group dining. On weekdays at noon, the place is usually full, so reservations are recommended in advance.
💰 Ordering and Payment: Staff take orders at the table, with payment settled after the meal; cash or credit card is acceptable.
🍽️ Dishes: There are many dishes available for table ordering, descriptions are written below the photos ⬇️
💬 Summary: The Brick Oven Traditional Flavor has its original store and a DunNan store. A few years ago, the DunNan store was handed over to the current owner, and it is now run by a different management team. This restaurant was already quite popular, and after Huang Renxun's visit at the end of May, it became even more crowded, with bookings that never seem to stop. Today, we came for lunch; the owner treated us, and for nine people, the bill was under 4,000 TWD. The dishes were all quite good, and most of the staff are friendly older ladies.
