🚩 Chain Potstickers🥟 The quality of the meals is good, but the management is lacking.
📍 Location and Transportation: Sihai Youlong New店 Zhongzheng Store is located in the urban area of Xindian City, New Taipei City. The nearest MRT station is Qizhang Station, Exit 1, which is a 6-minute walk. Most of the customers are local residents, and there isn't convenient parking due to the bus stop in front.
🏠 Space: It was renovated two years ago. The environment is bright and relatively comfortable, but the wallpaper is a bit worn, and the restroom is cramped.
💰 Ordering and Payment: Orders can be placed at the counter or via QR code. Payment methods include cash and LinePay. Receipt✔️ and service charge🈚.
🍽️ Meals:
Original Flavor Potstickers: The frying technique is quite good, and each potsticker can be separated easily without breaking; the filling amount is acceptable, and they taste quite good without the need for soy sauce.
Corn Dumplings: The skin is a bit thick, and the filling is rather sparse, feeling a bit empty compared to the potstickers.
Blanched Vegetables: Probably bok choy, it's usually good and not too salty.
Pork Ball Soup: The meatballs are on the small side but taste good; the soup is nice, although there was less celery compared to before.
💭 Conclusion:
This store seems to have good business and introduced a mobile ordering system early on, saving labor and providing online payment options. I personally give it a high rating. Previously, when ordering, I ordered 2 dumplings (not just 2, I had other dishes as well), and the staff scolded me for ordering so few; I even asked how many I should order…
However, in this visit, both the online and counter menus only offered a 6-piece option for potstickers and dumplings (it's not a minimum of 6, you can only order in multiples of 6). Checking other branches doesn't seem to have this rule either… After looking at Google Maps reviews, it seems the unit was 8 pieces a few days ago. I don't understand the operational strategy of this store🙃. It might change again a few days after I finish writing this.
