The quality of the meal is good, the pork chop has enough flavor, and when paired with borscht beef soup and a butter roll, the overall taste is satisfying.
The interior decoration is mainly in shades of reddish-brown, with dim lighting that creates a comfortable dining atmosphere. Ice cream is available on the second floor.
The service attitude is good, the ordering process is simple and quick, and the waiting time is about 5 to 10 minutes, making customers feel comfortable and convenient.
Title: Student Reviews - What to Eat
Today I visited a restaurant called "Chef's Feast" near Qizhang.
★Meal:
Pork chop $250 + 10% service charge
(You can use mobile payment)
★Thoughts:
This is a somewhat famous steakhouse near Qizhang. It has two floors, so friends sitting on the first floor should remember to head to the second floor! Ice cream is only available on the second floor!
Fun Fact:
If the ice cream is soft when scooped, it indicates that their ice cream freezer has been frequently replaced. Otherwise, with constant opening and closing, the temperature becomes uneven, and the ice cream will get harder and harder.
Just the soup itself includes Russian beef soup, which is worth its price. Unfortunately, there aren't many ingredients in the Russian beef soup (compared to more substantial Russian beef soups).
Meal:
Tenderly sliced pork chop
The sauce is served separately.
I want to mention their pepper sauce.
The flavor of the pepper sauce resembles that of a Chinese medicine shop’s pepper (How do I know? Because I've bought pepper from a Chinese medicine shop).
This aroma is subjective, but personally, I don't think it’s the inherent aroma of the pepper; it has the scent of "herbal medicine" pepper XD. Vietnamese pepper doesn’t have this flavor.
The pork chop has enough flavor, and overall, it's filling when combined with the soup for a woman. The accompanying warm butter bread is really delicious and fragrant! Highly recommend.
If I'm in the same price range next time, I would be willing to return for another meal.
★Waiting time:
Around 5 to 10 minutes.
🚩Reasonably priced steakhouse with hearty borscht soup😍
Today, my family really wanted to eat steak, so we came to the Chef's Table on Zhongzheng Road in Xindian for lunch. This restaurant opened in early 2021 and has been doing well. The dining area is split between the first and second floors, with over 40 seats in total. The overall decor employs a reddish-brown color scheme, with dim lighting, and the atmosphere is quite comfortable.
After being seated, they will provide you with utensils and a menu. You place your order at the counter and pay; cash and various payment methods are accepted, and the receipt does not include a service charge. After ordering, you can head to the self-service bar to get soup and drinks. There are more drink options on the first floor, while the second floor only offers canned cola and Sprite. Ice cream is also available on the second floor, requiring a bit of effort to climb the stairs to get it.
Here are my thoughts on the meals ⬇️
Beef Borscht: The soup is full of ingredients like beef, cabbage, and tomatoes with unlimited refills. It is very rich, though a bit on the heavy side for flavors; if you can handle it, just sipping this soup will make the meal worth it 😂.
Corn Chowder: Compared to the borscht, the corn chowder has fewer ingredients, but it still contains corn and a bit of mushroom. The flavor is lighter, making it suitable for children, and I used it for dipping the bread rolls.
Dinner Rolls: (One comes with each main course, and I also ordered an additional one for $15) They are tasty and have butter inside.
Chef's Mixed Steak: This dish comes with ramen, as well as egg, broccoli, and a small amount of onion. The sauce is self-serve with choices of mushroom or black pepper sauce. The pieces are pre-cut and cooked just right without being overdone; the meat quality is acceptable, and the seasoning is decent.
Norwegian Salmon Fillet: This dish is served with macaroni, and the other ingredients are the same, with just one or two extra leaves. The salmon is pretty good, though it is a little bit dry due to the cut, but thankfully, it has no bones, making it easy to eat.
Drinks: Average.
Ice Cream: Average, I only had a couple of bites.
The service at this restaurant is quite good, and the food quality is decent. Although the prices have increased a few times since it opened, there are still many customers. Just for the main courses and soup, it’s worth a visit; I recommend it.
