At the Yongda Night Market, I saw some crowds at the Guo Charcoal-Grilled Corn stall, so I decided to give it a try and queued up to buy one.
The sauce for this corn is on the sweeter side, probably catering to the taste of people from Tainan. However, to be honest, I would have preferred a balance between sweet and salty; the sweetness was a bit too pronounced for my liking. I ordered the medium spicy level, but it completely lacked heat, so I went back to the stall and asked the owner to make it spicier.
That said, the corn itself was well-selected, with a good texture—it wasn't too hard and didn’t have the problem of being overcooked and dry. Biting into it still offered some juiciness.
Overall, it was a pretty decent charcoal-grilled corn.
