Today, I enjoyed the Super Cosmic Thunder Chicken Leg Rice, which is incredibly delicious and comes with a honey glaze, priced at 110 NTD. Guangdu Roast Meat is located on Jinlong Road in Neihu, near the Neihu MRT Station, which is fairly deep into Neihu.
The name "Super Cosmic Thunder Chicken Leg Rice" is ridiculously long, to the point where you'll laugh when ordering. Interestingly, the price isn’t the highest on the menu. As for the Super Cosmic Thunder Chicken Leg, the chicken leg itself is indeed quite tasty. The sweet and salty flavor of the honey glaze combined with the perfectly thick, tender meat truly lives up to the name of being incredibly delicious. The spring onion salt sauce that accompanies it is also quite nice.
The side dishes are self-selected; I chose cabbage, kelp, and black pepper king oyster mushrooms. Other than the cabbage being appropriately fresh and savory, the other two dishes were frankly unimpressive. The rice's texture was rather subtle—I felt it was a bit too moist and soft.
The soup was a standard mixed meat soup.
Overall, the Super Cosmic Thunder Chicken Leg Rice is definitely worth trying. However, the subtle performance of other aspects may affect my willingness to revisit.
I recommend it to everyone.
