Yixin Bubble Ice is a well-known and long-established store in downtown Hualien, less than ten minutes drive from Hualien Railway Station.
The seating area has two options: the first floor and the second floor. When there are few people, the store will recommend that guests dine on the first floor.

The store has two major items: bubble ice and shaved ice. The flavors of both are quite rich and creative. The flavors seem to be limited, and many flavors were sold out when we visited.
In addition, in this cold winter, hot food items such as roasted grass jelly and hot glutinous rice balls are also thoughtfully provided.

This time I ordered chestnut milk flavored bubble ice, and the boss thoughtfully provided small bowls for visitors to share.
On the outside, there is a layer of very rich and dense chestnut puree covering the entire ice surface, with a ball of berry ice cream on top. The whole thing looks like an exquisite enlarged version of chestnut Mont Blanc.

The top chestnut is just an ordinary and delicious chestnut.
Digging out the chestnut puree, the dense milk bubble ice inside makes you take one mouthful after another. The flavors of chestnuts and milk blend perfectly in the mouth, and the taste is very smooth.
If the milk is a bit greasy, you can dig into the berry-flavored ice cream on the top to refresh your taste buds, but it’s so delicious that I find it hard to get tired of it.

The price is 190. Judging from the visual and taste feast this price brings, I think it is well worth the money.
You must try it when you visit Hualien, you won’t regret it.
