Midnight Snack2 pplNT$132.5

Nowadays, more and more people are beginning to enjoy nightlife due to work or living habits, and "late night snacks" have become an important meal for modern people. It is reported that late-night snacks originated in the Tang Dynasty. Before the Tang Dynasty, in order to facilitate management, various dynasties implemented martial law at night and restricted people from going out at night. After the opening up of the Tang Dynasty, nightlife became increasingly rich, and markets were open all night on important festivals. During the festival, people go out at night and get hungry after walking, so stalls selling cooked food appear in the night market. This is the earliest form of late-night snacks. Today, Chiman is going to introduce a late-night snack bar in Kaohsiung, which offers a wide variety of food items...

✅Nine-layer egg cake with preserved egg: The egg cake is not the old-style powdered egg cake, but a crispy egg cake. It contains a nine-story pagoda and preserved eggs. I originally thought that the rich flavor of preserved eggs would overwhelm the taste of other ingredients, but in fact, every flavor is very well blended and very delicious!

✅Fried instant noodles: served with cabbage, bacon and eggs. It tastes like traditional pork noodles, but stir-fried with ingredients can give you a richer taste. The taste is full of salty aroma, but the price is a bit high.

✅Honey West Toast: You can choose from a variety of flavors. This time I ordered the soufflé flavor. The outer layer of western toast is fried and then paired with sweet honey, and a little soufflé is added to the inner layer to increase the taste (but the soufflé is quite thin). Overall a sinful but delicious food.

✅Small meat beans: not too much seasoning, just a light meaty aroma.

This store has a very rich selection, with more than 30 flavors of "omelette" alone. In addition, they also provide hot-pressed toast, Hong Kong-style dim sum, pot roast series and other items, which is really unfriendly for patients with difficulty in choosing. However, it is indeed very considerate to have so many choices during late night snack time. However, since the store is an open space, you may feel a little hot while dining!

Nine-layer preserved egg egg cake (70 yuan)
Fried instant noodles (95 yuan)
Honey Toast (60 yuan): Soufflé
Small meat beans (40 yuan)

阿樓師火雞肉飯
Street FoodChiayi City

A bit disappointing. The idea is good, but most of the food in different stalls (tested 3) is pretty average and oily. Nothing else to do inside. But nice picnic table to spend some time with friends. Prices are ok.

Genuine food enthusiasts know that it’s not always about set menus & ostentatious wine pairings. Occasionally, we just wanna head out without a fuss, throw on a pair of preppy shorts for a snacky bowl of old town’s sweet juicy roasted pork, crabmeat & wontons noodle in rich chx broth & a icy c0oL cup of fresh aromatic banana mixed berries cold-pressed juice. It’s often the hearty, casual & simple meals that bring out the true scrumptious taste of Thai. For any ‘anytime, anywhere’ occasions, we’d recommend expats, tourists or even locals to gather in this Bangkok’s top street food court. Sometimes, there’s nothing better than quasi-street eats (with air conditioning, ofc, heheehh). Here, we roam around the Bangkok’s signature food court for the city’s most ordinary yet eXtraordinarily delectable drinks & noodles feasts. nom nom nom + affordable + ample aircon + vibrant vibes + fast + plenty of comfy seats + exotic background music + bromantic sexy lightings + noisy atmosphere all around u like dining in an overcrowded concrete jungle with all the unknown mythical creatures from all over the universe speaking in their languages = fun fun fun 🥰✌🏻
