The first time I ate log cabin waffles was at Jiaotong University (I know it has changed to Jiaotong University, but it was still Jiaotong University at that time). It was almost ten years ago. To be honest, I have forgotten how it tasted. Let’s revisit it today. one time!

The log cabin waffle we visited today is located next to Mackay Hospital, only a 3-minute walk from Shuanglian Station, and it just opened not long ago! It’s worth mentioning that this branch is open until two in the morning, which is great news for night owls.

As soon as we walked into the store, we could smell the aroma of roasted flour, which made us look forward to it. Whether it was sweet waffles or salty waffles, there were many flavors to choose from. We were here for dinner, so we both chose the salty ones.

ps. We all ordered a la carte this time, but if you want something more substantial, you can also choose a set meal, which comes with fried snacks and drinks.

Garlic Chicken Thigh and Vegetable Waffles $90
I saw that this product was new and recommended, so I ordered it. Let me tell you the conclusion first: I am a little disappointed!
The chicken inside is quite small. It tastes like chicken breast, a bit like the kind of chicken breast you can buy in supermarkets. Although the seasoning is not unpleasant, it is just bland and has no garlic flavor. It feels like it is being branded. deceived
Most of the time I just eat waffles and lettuce. Fortunately, I add a little mayonnaise to add a little more flavor.

Green peppercorn fried chicken and vegetable waffles $95
As soon as I bring it close to my mouth, I can smell the strong aroma of pepper and sesame, which I love very much~~ The fried chicken is also well fried, I personally like this one better! However, this seasoning will be a bit too salty after eating, so it is better to eat it with a drink to relieve the tiredness.

Let’s talk about the muffin himself
Personally, I feel that the roast is not delicious enough, it is a bit dry, and it should be more moist and soft. I don’t know if it is slightly burnt, and it tastes a little bitter... I think it is just right.

It tastes just like ordinary milk tea, nothing special or surprising. To me, it’s just something I need to pick up and drink when the waffles feel a little dry.

Overall, I think today's salty waffles only scored 70 points. It can't be said to be unpalatable, but it doesn't seem to have met my original expectations. I want to try the sweet flavor next time, and maybe I will change my mind.
