It is located near the Presidential Palace and Ximen Station, about a 3-minute walk from Exit 3. Most of this Taoyuan Street is filled with shops selling noodles. Seeing this Douhua shop on a hot day really makes you feel like you are seeing a savior.
In fact, in addition to bean curd, they also sell brown sugar shaved ice, grass jelly, mung bean soup, purple rice porridge, lotus seeds and white fungus, etc. There is probably no shortage of items found in ordinary dessert shops~ Nowadays, they seem to specialize in sour plum soup, which is also good for cooling off the heat. Grandmaster!
Mixed beancurd $55
There are iced and hot ones. Because I didn’t want to eat ice cubes, I chose to go iced. It tasted quite cold. The bean curd was very dense and melted in the mouth. The base was sugar water, which was quite sweet but very hot. It tastes really good when I drink it~~
You can choose 3 ingredients for the mixed tofu curd. I chose rice balls, glutinous rice balls and barley. I think the portions of each ingredient are not too small. Among them, the glutinous rice balls are my favorite. Although they are not big, they are super chewy. I give them this chewy texture. 100 points, added taste changes!
Overall, I think the price is not too expensive, it’s not too heartbreaking to have as afternoon tea, and the taste is satisfying. I’m willing to visit again~
