This time, I visited 'Papsang,' where you can enjoy Korean home-cooked meals supervised by the popular Korean restaurant 'Saikabo,' just a 1-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, served in a buffet style! The name 'Papsang' expresses a desire for people to enjoy a well-balanced meal similar to Japan's "ichiju-sansai." It was founded with the idea of providing gentle and popular Korean cuisine to women at ease.

At the 'Saikabo Food Section,' you can purchase specialty handmade kimchi produced in their own factory. They sell not only napa cabbage kimchi but also celery kimchi and green onion kimchi, which you typically can't find in regular supermarkets—this is the charm of a specialty store. Additionally, they offer homemade dishes like the beloved pa-jun (Korean pancake) that has been loved for 20 years at the restaurant, alongside a rich selection of Korean ingredients. In the eat-in section, you can casually enjoy authentic Korean flavors. I would love to visit there next time too!

For lunch, it came with a side dish buffet, which was perfect for me as a vegetarian. The bulgogi bibimbap is served sizzling hot, allowing you to enjoy it while making crispy rice and mixing it with the seasoned bulgogi. It was delicious! Also, I was happy to get my vegetable intake from the bibimbap.

Since it’s close to the station, please make sure to visit 'Papsang' when you're unsure where to eat in Shinjuku and fully enjoy Korean cuisine.
