The red oil century egg noodles at this humble noodle shop have a harmonious flavor, with fresh ingredients, and the other side dishes also perform well, making them quite suitable for pairing with the shop's sauces. The sauce for the fried sauce noodles is rich and flavorful, and the garlic chili sauce is well-seasoned but very spicy.
The interior is spacious and clean, with restrooms available for a more comfortable dining experience. The place is bustling with crowds during meal times, creating a lively atmosphere.
The store only accepts cash, and it does not have regular closing days. It is recommended to check the business hours in advance. The waiting time is about 5 minutes.
Student Review: What to Eat
This time I came to Yonghe (a 6-7 minute walk from the MRT station).
Yonghe Noodle Dumpling Stand.
★ Food:
Old Zhang Fried Sauce Noodles (Small) $75 + Soft-Boiled Egg $25
Braised Tofu $25
★ Thoughts:
The sauce on the fried noodles is plentiful,
full of flavor.
The small bowl looks quite large.
His garlic chili sauce is packed with garlic,
when you eat it, it’s full of garlic aroma, but it doesn’t have too strong of a garlic taste.
The seasoning is great, but if you are sensitive to spiciness, be careful while eating
because it’s very spicy!
They also have sweetened red tea available for dine-in.
My friend really loves coming to Zhongyonghe for noodles.
There are indeed many noodle stalls here, and almost every stall is crowded during meal times.
★ Wait Time:
About 5 minutes.
📍Zhonghe District, New Taipei City
A local, homegrown boss runs this popular noodle shop 🍜
This place has been on my must-visit list for a long time, I was drawn in by their signature "Spicy Century Egg Noodles."
The dining environment is spacious, clean, and tidy, and they even have a restroom available for use.

Order Items
◽️ Spicy Century Egg Dry Noodles (Small: $70):
The century egg sauce is still chunky, and when mixed well with the meat sauce and chili oil, the flavors harmonize nicely without overwhelming the bowl with a strong century egg taste.
The noodle choice is wide, chewy noodles, though they don't hold onto the sauce very well.
◽️ Black Vinegar Dry Noodles (Small: $45):
A friend said it was decent, but not the best black vinegar noodles she has had.
◽️ Blanched Vegetables ($40):
The portion is not too large, just right for two people, and the braising sauce is really delicious.
◽️ Side Dishes - Seaweed, Tofu Pudding, Pig's Ear (Total: $90):
Each item is braised quite well 👍🏻 The saltiness is just right and pairs nicely with the sauces provided by the shop; the chili sauce is tasty!
🍄
Will I visit again? Yes!
The flavors are great, and the prices are reasonable.
