Taipei Neihu - A new affordable donburi restaurant opened in August, also selling Taiwanese-style bento boxes, primarily focused on Japanese cuisine yet very Taiwanese.

The salmon fillet is fried, and the fish meat is quite large and thick, which is nice. The skin is very crispy, but unfortunately, it has a strong oil flavor. The donburi is a bit wet, with egg used to thicken it; sprinkled with a little seven-spice powder, the sauce is slightly sweet. The side dishes are corn kernels and amaranth, overall it doesn't taste very Japanese, and the flavors are quite average.

The seaweed egg drop soup tastes cool, suggesting it was prepared in advance and left to sit for a while.

The utensils are disposable chopsticks. The spoons are stainless steel but not clean, and the plates are sticky.

🔹 The prices are very affordable, and the overall value for money is quite high; however, most main dishes are fried, making them less healthy. Compared to donburi, I recommend the Chinese-style meal (bento) instead, as the sides were more plentiful for other customers around me. Unfortunately, the dining environment and cleanliness are not ideal. Although they have just opened with promotions, and currently have high ratings on Google Maps, I don’t find it as good as expected, and I will not return.
