There’s a café near the Daan MRT Station that serves everything from brunch to dinner. This time I met up with a friend to have dinner there.

The café is set in a nostalgic house with a pebbled floor, retro sofas, elementary school desks and chairs, and various nostalgic decorations. Every detail contributes to creating a spacious area with a natural and simple atmosphere, complemented by the warm sunlight filtering in at sunset, giving a cozy and nostalgic feel.

The café has quite a number of seats, including tables for two, four, and a bar counter.
The dinner menu is different from the brunch menu, and the minimum consumption varies; during dinner hours, there's an additional 10% service charge.

⭐️ Red Wine Braised Beef Ribs $400
This is one of the starters on the menu. The beef ribs are tender and delicious with a bit of chewiness from the collagen; the red wine sauce is the soul of this dish, with a rich aroma, which goes perfectly with the bread on the side for dipping into the sauce with the beef ribs. It’s so good!

⭐️ French Grilled Matsusaka Pork Risotto $330
The Matsusaka pork is very tender, maintaining a slight crispness, perfectly cooked so it’s not too tough. The risotto is well-cooked, and the French cream sauce is complemented by French mustard seeds, creating a rich yet not overly heavy creamy flavor.

⭐️ French Fries / Sichuan Green Pepper Sauce $180
Crispy fries paired with green pepper sauce are truly a great match. The green pepper sauce has a fragrant numbing flavor but isn’t too spicy, making it super addictive; before you know it, a plate is gone.

⭐️ Roasted Tea Pudding $90
The term “roasted tea” feels very familiar 🤣
The aroma of the roasted tea is rich but not bitter, and the pudding has a soft and smooth texture, accompanied by a bit of fresh cream, making it very soothing.

⭐️ Super Excellent Tiramisu $170
The name “Super Excellent Tiramisu” is so appealing! And after tasting it, it really is excellent!!! It has a strong coffee aroma but isn’t overly moist or sweet; the alcohol flavor isn’t strong either. However, those who prefer a stronger alcohol flavor may want to pass on this.

⭐️ Hand-Stirred Brown Sugar Milk Tea $150
This drink has a layer of burnt brown sugar with a subtle brown sugar scent. Overall, the sweetness is just right, and the flavor is quite standard. It’s really made with fresh milk!

⭐️ Galaxy Pale Ale $180
This one was ordered by my friend, and because I had to ride my bike, I only had a sip.
Crafted by Cai's, made with high-quality hops from Australia, featuring distinct citrus and peach flavors. My friend said the overall alcohol flavor isn’t strong and is refreshing with no bitterness.

I thought the savory dishes for dinner were great, and I’d like to come back again to try brunch next time! 😆

Taipei Da'an - A retro-style cafe decorated in an old house. It just opened in June this year. It has a large space and offers coffee, desserts and brunch.

This time I went with five friends. I won’t give a star because I haven’t tried some of the dishes! Just present the item prices and photos.

The original item in their store was hojicha pudding, but unfortunately it was sold out that day and only the original flavor was left. The texture of the pudding is very soft and tender, with a little bit of Q. I really like this texture. I think the sweetness is on the sweet side, with a light caramel aroma. Overall, I highly recommend it! And each one only costs 90 yuan, which is considered a snack with a high CP value!

I asked the store staff to customize sugar-free ones, which is a plus. Most stores are not very customizable. The aroma of matcha is slightly bitter and sweet, and it goes very well with the foamed milk. One cup is a lot, and the CP is pretty good at this price!

There are no sockets in our seat. Overall, it is a more suitable place for gathering, chatting and relaxing. They provide brunch from morning to 3pm, salty food in the evening, and are open until 22:00. I would like to try it again if I have a chance!
