I strongly recommend making a reservation online; we waited in line for an hour and a half.
We almost gave up on dining in and considered doing takeout, sitting outside to eat (laughs).
At that moment, a customer happened to leave early, and we were so happy!
It was a moment filled with the determination to enjoy the food no matter what 😄

This time, our visit was just as delightful.
The chiffon cake was moist, paired with sweet but not overly rich fresh cream, making it very palatable.
The cinnamon roll was just baked; it smelled amazing! Rich cinnamon flavor with a hint of sweetness.
The drinks were also good! Coffee options include light roast or medium roast.
However, the sweetness of the Tie Guan Yin milk tea is fixed, which was a bit sweet for me 😌 It would be better if it could be ordered without sugar.

My first visit was to the Nanjing store, and later, a more conveniently located Zhongxiao store opened, making it super easy to go there often...

They occasionally introduce limited-time cakes, and this time I tried the Sicilian Grape Chiffon. The slight acidity of lemon pairs well with the sweetness of green grapes, smooth cream, and original chiffon cake, making it refreshing and delicious with no burden 😋.

The Tieguanyin milk tea has a strong tea flavor, with a perfect balance of Tieguanyin's roasted flavor and the creaminess of milk, pairing wonderfully with the cake!

Having tried their cakes many times without disappointment, I highly recommend it 👍.

Beck's House, famous for its handmade cakes and delicious hand-brewed coffee, has another location apart from the one near Nanjing Fuxing Station, tucked away in a lane on Zhongxiao East Road in the East District. This time, I happened to choose a sunny holiday afternoon to enjoy some coffee and cake with friends. During the afternoon, the place tends to be full, and there is a two-hour dining limit, so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

The interior decor is very comfortable, featuring a simple wooden aesthetic and some vintage elements, such as fans and chandeliers. Every corner is perfect for taking photos. Our seats happened to be right next to the floor-to-ceiling window, and the sunlight coming in was very pleasant. The shop also provides self-serve water and has WiFi available 🛜.

When you visit Beck's House, you must try their cakes, and they often have limited-edition flavors to sample. This time, I had the "Jasmine Peach Chiffon," which I personally highly recommend.

The cake is very delicious! The sponge cake has a delicate aroma of jasmine tea, and the peaches in the middle are wonderfully sweet. The tea-scented cream on top is not overly sweet and heavy; overall, it feels refreshing and delightful ☺️.

I have always liked Baker's House's cakes. They are delicious and easy to order. Usually when there is a seasonal limited flavor that I like, I will choose Baker's House for birthday cakes at that time!

This time I went to the Zhongxiao store. I called to reserve a seat and cake. It is recommended that you make a reservation in advance during holidays, otherwise you will easily be unable to get a seat.

The recent Jasmine Peach Chiffon is really full of five stars. The jasmine fresh cream is not sweet and has a strong tea aroma with a slight bitterness. It is really praised by people who don’t like cakes/don’t like too sweet. The peach among them is very sweet and goes well with the jasmine tea cream. It is really my favorite flavor recently!

For coffee, Baker House cooperates with Welbeck Coffee. I particularly like their passion fruit hand brew, which has a strong fruity aroma!

Overall, the desserts are above par, and the seasonal limited edition flavors are usually even more surprising.
For me, it is a cafe that I will return to regularly!
