Located on Zhongshan Road in Shanhua District, "Yiteng Liangdonggua Yuan Zhi" is a well-known local beverage shop that a colleague highly recommended while we were passing by. Since I don’t like sour flavors, I ordered winter melon tea, and my colleagues immediately called me a brave person. After just one sip, I understood why they said that; the sweetness of the winter melon tea was excessively high, almost to the point of being cloying. It felt like concentrated sugar water, and I had to dilute it with two cups of water to make it somewhat balanced. However, this made it watery and lost the delicate fragrance that winter melon tea should have.

Additionally, the lemon juice in the shop is also on the sweeter side. I originally wanted to ask for some lemon juice to counteract the cloying sweetness, expecting the refreshing tartness of lemons, but it was still sweet. Overall, the sweetness of the drinks here is too high, making it somewhat uncomfortable to drink. Those who don’t mind sweetness may find it okay, but for those used to lighter and more natural flavors, the beverages here are really not to their taste.

The service, on the other hand, was quite good; the staff were friendly and quick in their actions. However, considering the sweetness issue with the drinks, I personally wouldn’t return.
