The beef soup is clear and sweet, with tender slices of beef that, when paired with minced beef rice, make for an affordable yet rich choice. The minced pork rice has even more aroma. The beef offal soup has a fishy taste due to the liver, and there is not much beef tendon. The snowflake beef and sesame oil beef liver are soft and tender, and the stir-fried beef with green onions is very fragrant.
The store has a clean environment, air conditioning, plenty of seating, and almost no waiting in line. The self-service sauce area has a rich variety. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas for dine-in, and parking is convenient.
The service was slightly slow, possibly due to shift change, as we had to wait for the staff to clear the dishes. When there are a lot of people, the quality control tends to fluctuate a bit.
Environment
A beef soup specialty shop in Tainan that operates 24 hours! When I visited in the morning, business was pretty good but not fully packed. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas, making it a beef soup shop worth trying!

At "Yi Ge Beef Soup" near the Tainan Nan Fang, this restaurant is open 24 hours, so you can satisfy your cravings for beef soup any time. This time, I revisited and ordered their breakfast special, which for 150 NT dollars includes beef soup, minced beef rice, vegetables, and a fried egg—a reasonably priced and rich option. The beef soup has a sweet broth, and the beef slices are tender, pairing perfectly with the minced beef rice. However, I must mention that after drinking the soup, there is a slight feeling of umami in the mouth, making the lips a bit numb and leaving you thirsty. Additionally, compared to the minced beef rice, their minced pork rice is actually tastier, with more fat and aroma.
I also ordered the beef offal soup and beef tendon. The liver in the beef offal soup was not well prepared and had a bit of a fishy taste, which slightly deducted points. The beef tendon was decent in texture, but at 130 NT dollars, the portion was on the smaller side, making it feel less worth the price.
The environment of the restaurant is clean, with air conditioning and plenty of seating, so there's almost no need to wait in line. They also have a self-service sauce area with shredded ginger, bean paste, sweet soy sauce, spicy soy sauce, and more, allowing you to mix according to your personal taste. However, this time, the overall experience was slightly below my previous visits; perhaps quality control is more challenging when there are many customers.
Overall, "Yi Ge Beef Soup" is still a place worth trying. It ranks above average among beef soup places in Tainan and is very convenient, unlike some places that are only open in the early hours.
This is my first time at Yige Beef Soup and I didn't do any research beforehand. I found out that there's a parking lot next door, which is really convenient. Once I went inside, I wasn't sure if they were just changing shifts or what, but the plates from customers who had finished eating were still on the table and not collected yet. It took a while for them to clear them away after I asked.
This time, I ordered the premium beef soup and the marbled beef soup. The meat in the premium beef soup has more texture, while the marbled beef soup's meat is softer and more tender to me. I personally prefer the marbled beef soup; the broth isn’t greasy.
I also ordered stinky tofu, which was only 70 dollars and felt quite worth it (maybe because it was cut into small pieces). But overall, it felt like a good deal.
The beef with cabbage part was just regular beef stir-fried with cabbage. I was actually hoping for more cabbage, so I might have chosen the wrong option; I should have selected something from the vegetable section instead.
