This is my first time at Yige Beef Soup and I didn't do any research beforehand. I found out that there's a parking lot next door, which is really convenient. Once I went inside, I wasn't sure if they were just changing shifts or what, but the plates from customers who had finished eating were still on the table and not collected yet. It took a while for them to clear them away after I asked.
This time, I ordered the premium beef soup and the marbled beef soup. The meat in the premium beef soup has more texture, while the marbled beef soup's meat is softer and more tender to me. I personally prefer the marbled beef soup; the broth isn’t greasy.
I also ordered stinky tofu, which was only 70 dollars and felt quite worth it (maybe because it was cut into small pieces). But overall, it felt like a good deal.
The beef with cabbage part was just regular beef stir-fried with cabbage. I was actually hoping for more cabbage, so I might have chosen the wrong option; I should have selected something from the vegetable section instead.
