AI Spot Summary

The in-store environment is simple and unadorned; although there is no air conditioning, there is rice wine available, which adds a local flavor to the dining experience. The boss has a cool personality, but in fact, is very friendly.

The boss is enthusiastic and cares for the guests. Although taking photos is not allowed, they remind everyone of the best time to enjoy the food. They are very attentive to the needs of the guests, providing warm service that makes one feel at home.

At 5 AM, a super hidden snack spot in Tainan opens, selling until they run out.

Located in the big produce market, the unnamed lamb soup shop is an old-school eatery loved by the local residents, but it operates very discreetly and even lacks a sign or name (though it is quite surprising that you can make reservations via LINE).

While waiting for a spot, I managed to take a few photos, but the owner reminded me that no photos are allowed inside the shop. If you’re planning to visit, do take note; it's okay to photograph the food, but the owner will remind you to eat quickly for the best taste! 👍🏻 (The owner has a unique style and vibe, looking a bit cool, but in reality, he is very nice!)

I arrived around 6:40, and there were no spots left at the scene, with only lamb soup remaining. Foodies would typically choose special parts, like the scalp, brain, or loin, but luckily we weren't brave enough to try those; we came specifically for the lamb soup! 🤤 One bowl costs 200 NT. Normally, my three friends and I would order two bowls to share at other places, but at this restaurant, one bowl per person is a must to truly enjoy!!! (Plus, we woke up early, so we need to drink plenty of delicious soup.)

Although I’m not sure if I should compare 🤣, my friends and I unanimously agreed that this place could beat all the beef soups we've tried so far... The lamb is not gamey at all, with a tender yet firm texture, paired with an incredibly fresh and sweet broth—it’s absolutely perfect! 💕 Although it's summer and the shop lacks air conditioning, I didn’t feel hot after finishing; rather, I felt satisfied and reluctant to leave (reluctant to finish drinking).

I genuinely envy the local residents who live nearby; being able to enjoy such delightful soup early in the morning is so lucky... Each table has rice wine available for self-serve, which feels more local; I want to try it next time!

After finishing our meal and preparing to leave, the owner suddenly asked if we dared to try lamb cheek meat. We were surprised and felt a bit scared. But the owner, being very kind, offered it to us as a treat to try! After tasting it, we fell in love immediately... How could there be such a tender piece, and every bite was bursting with meaty flavor? I noticed that this dish wasn’t listed on the wall menu, so I’m not sure if we could order it directly from the owner.

I’m really thankful to the owner for letting us enjoy such delicious food. 🥹 Even now, I find myself thinking about it from time to time. I feel like I could rush to Tainan just for this!
