# Spicy Hot Pot Taichung
# December Birthday Month Celebration

To make up for the regret from the last buffet experience, I urgently returned to 'Spicy Hot Pot' during lunchtime, where it was impossible to focus on eating hot pot.

This was my second time dining here; I was lucky that there were still available seats without a reservation, so I went in and started eating. Upon entering, I was greeted by a vibrant and rich buffet spread, with the sounds of lively chatter and full tables all around, which naturally lifted my spirits. After settling in and ordering my soup base (garlic chicken broth and spicy hot pot base), I eagerly went to grab my dishes!

Seafood, vegetables, meats, Japanese cuisine, prepared foods, fried snacks, and spicy skewers filled the compact buffet, making it hard to tell whether I was eating hot pot or a buffet. I was delighted and satisfied.

The dessert section provided a visual sensory delight, with pastries decorated for Christmas and surrounded by a bountiful strawberry season atmosphere. Especially since December birthdays received a special ‘strawberry cup’; I also got a limited-time strawberry snow ice; it was all just filled with pink bubbles!

In the frozen treat section, there were three major brands, and this time I only tried the “Orange Liqueur Cocoa” that required service staff to scoop. It surprisingly matched my taste, with a mild orange liqueur aroma and an unobtrusive alcohol flavor; it combined wonderfully with the bitter-sweet cocoa, not too sweet or cloying, prompting me to enjoy another scoop and head back to the freezer area to ask the staff for another scoop to continue savoring the sweetness!

My two-hour dining time flew by without a break, and I left, patting my satisfied belly as I paid the bill.
