#Yongfu Braised Pork Egg Noodles have a chewy texture with flavorful braised pork sauce, topped with a half-cooked egg mixed in. One bite after another, it's delicious and hard to stop! My Japanese friend even asked the shop if they sell just the noodles! 🤣
Next, we must order the #Fuzhou Fish Ball Soup. The broth is fresh, sweet, and refreshing; the star is definitely the fish balls, which are chewy and firm, filled with fresh fish flavor and soup juice. I can't help but want to eat a few more! 😆
The side dishes are not to be outdone either; it's truly delicious food at a very reasonable price. Friends who haven't tried this yet should definitely come taste it; this is really a snack shop that will make people want to return! Bringing friends from abroad will definitely amaze them! ✨
environment 🏠
This time-honored fish ball shop is located near Exit 1 of Ximen. The fish balls are made fresh every day. Many people will make a special trip to buy fish balls. The decoration was just renovated a few years ago. It is very new, although there are not many seats. Table availability is pretty fast, and you don’t have to wait too long during peak hours.
Meals 🥘
Yong Fu Fish Balls is located next to the Ximen Noodle Shop. There is a small queue during meal times, but the table turnover rate is quite high, and the waiting time is generally less than 10 minutes.
The counter also sells handmade fresh fish balls that you can buy and cook yourself. The overall environment in the store is nice and clean. The seating space is not large. There is a large table inside that can seat more than 5 people. Otherwise, it usually seats 2-4 people. A commercial dishwasher is used here to wash dishes.
This time I ordered the signature fish ball soup noodles ($95). Generally speaking, when you don’t know what to eat at a restaurant like this, just order the signature bowl. It contains Fuzhou fish balls, mushroom balls, squid, red meat and noodles. The fish cake is paired with some bonito flakes, sand tea and nine-story pagoda to enhance the flavor. The overall taste is smooth, slightly sweet but not too much. If you think the taste is too bland, you can add black vinegar or chili oil on the table to further enhance the flavor and have a bonus effect.
Here, you can pay at the door after you have eaten enough. You can pay with cash or linepay. If you want to pay with linepay, you have to tell the store specifically that they will scan the QR code for you.
