The rice at the restaurant is distinct and fluffy, the grains are soft, the clay pot chicken is tender with a rich chicken flavor, the cabbage is stir-fried to a crisp texture, and the drinks are freshly squeezed from vegetables and fruits, making them refreshing and palate-cleansing.
The restaurant's dining area is spacious, suitable for large gatherings. The new decor is bright, offering unbeatable sea views and good lighting.
Advance reservations are required to ensure a spot. Despite the impacts of the pandemic and earthquakes, the restaurant still provides a good dining experience.
The Yankee Ranch was originally located by the seaside. On one hand, it was hard to find the road, and there wasn't a lot of parking space, but the unbeatable sea view and natural lighting meant that reservations always had to be made in advance. Now it has moved to a location closer to the Meilun city center, and while I thought it would be harder to get a reservation, surprisingly, the dining space wasn't even fully occupied. Perhaps the impact of the pandemic and earthquakes is still quite severe.
Back to the food, the rice grains are distinct, and the rice is soft and translucent. With just a little seasoning or some fragrant side dishes, you can eat bowl after bowl. The baked chicken is incredibly tender, and the sweetness of the chicken fat is completely locked inside, making you want to tear it apart and eat it. The cabbage is also stir-fried to a nice crispness, and the juice from the vegetables is very lightly sweet. The drinks are made from fresh fruits and vegetables, providing a refreshing taste without being heavy, so you don’t have to worry that the meal will be too heavy.
The dining space in the restaurant is also quite large, making it perfect for groups to dine together. The decor in the new location is nice, with bright lighting. Overall, it is quite recommended to come and eat.
Yankee Ranch is located on Zhongmei Road in Hualien City, with convenient transportation. The white building is elegant and chic, and the dining environment is decorated with local specialties, making it spacious and comfortable. All kinds of dishes are unique and delicious.
Apple pineapple juice and watermelon juice are freshly brewed and taste very refreshing. It is recommended to have a bottle before serving.
The meat of the salt-grilled fish is very fresh and sweet, but if you don't make a reservation, you will have to wait 40-60 minutes.
The fish is fresh and tender, with no earthy taste. The local Taiwanese snapper, the fried shrimp shell can be eaten directly. It is the origin of golden clams. The soup is refreshing and delicious. The peeled pepper sausage has local characteristics. The taste is not bad, crispy. The thinness of the fried burdock and the crispiness of the frying make it extremely refreshing.
If there are many people, this is a very good specialty store worth trying.
