The pancake used for the Jianbing Guozi is slightly soft, complemented by spicy powder and chili oil for a great flavor. The filling is rich with vegetables and other ingredients, resulting in a good overall texture.
The atmosphere in the store is lively, and the three young sisters are dedicated to making the meals with great enthusiasm.
The service is friendly, and although there were occasional minor disappointments due to insufficient materials, the overall service experience was good.
This time I visited "Jiage Dan Jianbing Guozi" on Wenxian Road in Tainan, a place I stumbled upon by chance, but the business was quite good, with a line of people waiting outside.
I bought the original flavor Jianbing Guozi this time. They provide spicy powder and chili oil on the side for you to add as you like; both pair well with the pancake itself, and the chili oil especially enhances the flavor. The pancake here is on the softer side, rather than crispy, but overall, the texture is still quite rich. The egg flavor is nice, and the vegetables and crunchy ingredients inside are quite good, so it’s not monotonous or boring.
What’s interesting is that three young women were making the food on-site, and the atmosphere was very lively. You can feel their enthusiasm for their work, which added to the overall positive service experience.
However, it’s a bit unfortunate that I originally planned to buy two servings, but the店 said they were running low on batter and were still preparing more, so I only bought one to try. Although there's a little bit of disappointment, I still think this place is worth trying. Even though I only got one serving, the portion is actually quite large, and it was enough to fill me up.
