Besides oden, they actually sell cold noodles, beef noodles, snowflake pan-fried dumplings, and spicy duck blood tofu, making it a diverse street food stall. Personally, I think the other items are much tastier than the oden, so maybe the owner should consider changing the restaurant's focus, hahaha 😂

This place called "One Lantern" is located on a small road next to the Tianmu Circle, surrounded by a fierce competition of street food. I noticed this shop because I wanted to eat oden, but it turned out that oden is just an à la carte item accompanied by good ingredients, while the other menu options are much more varied.

There are basically no indoor seating options; all the seats are on the sidewalk. There’s a row facing the stall with a counter, and the remaining two tables are in the public area, making the environment feel quite cramped.

The owner's accent suggests they are from outside the province, and the noodles don't quite match the local Taiwanese flavor.

My personal favorite is their sesame cold noodles; the sesame sauce is sweet and fragrant, and when mixed with the noodles, it tastes absolutely delightful.

The snowflake pan-fried dumplings are visually stunning, with the whole pot of flour cooked to a snowflake shape with the dumplings, and then poured onto the plate. The filling of the pan-fried dumplings is juicy and not greasy, with a crisp vegetable texture. The snowflake part is a bit burnt, but that doesn’t detract from its overall quality.

The Thai-style sour and spicy cold noodles really suit my taste, being tangy and sweet without being overly spicy.

As for the oden 🍢, I actually have the least impression of it… I’m sorry, oden; the ingredients are ordinary, and the broth doesn’t stand out in memory. The braised tofu in it is the most flavorful and delicious, but it seems to have been braised with the spicy duck blood, so I personally believe it can't really compete with the oden.
