The sweet potatoes at this restaurant are sweet without being overly rich, moist and soft, and very uniform. The roasted sweet potatoes are also favored by customers, priced affordably, and served in moderate portions, making them a great option for a dessert that lingers in your mouth.
Although the storefront is not eye-catching, there are always other customers visiting, mostly regulars, indicating the restaurant's popularity.
Always greeted by a friendly grandmother, the service makes one feel warm and familiar.
Every time I pass by and see it open, I will come to support it a bit. I’m a sweet potato lover 🍠💛, but I personally prefer sweet potatoes that are moderately sweet and not sticky, the type that can be too much after just a few bites I can't handle. This place is near the Wu Temple (Kaohsiung Guandi Temple), but it still takes about ten minutes to walk there. Tuesday is a public holiday, so don't make a trip for nothing.
Every time I come, it's this friendly grandma. In addition to sweet potatoes, the shop also sells baked sweet potatoes. Although the store isn't very eye-catching, I always see other customers coming to visit, and there are many regulars.
✐ Small portion $50 / Large portion $80
· This price is really budget-friendly. The small portion shown in the picture is enough to satisfy my dessert cravings for the day, with just the right amount! The sweet potatoes here are not of the thick and sticky type with maltose, but rather watery and soft (if you don't like this texture, you can skip it). However, each piece of sweet potato is evenly sweet and not cloying, a must-have for cravings. 👍🏻
