I went shopping in the city and stopped by for a meal.
Ordered turkey rice $65, milkfish soup $75, milkfish sausage $60, braised cabbage $40
Big turkey rice $65
The turkey meat itself is very fragrant with the garlic crisps sprinkled on top.
The aroma is quite strong and the taste is quite rich.
The shredded bamboo shoots are a bit oily, not sour, and have no anti-greasy effect.
It's okay to match it.
There is also a piece of black melon on top. It tastes quite like Damao black melon, salty and sweet.
Not salty enough, you may need to order some other dishes to go with it
Milkfish sausage $60
Not much, about the amount of one stick
Has a slight milkfish oil scent
Too oily and salty. It’s ok with rice but not recommended.
Braised cabbage $40
Braised very soft and tender, moderately seasoned
It’s salty enough to be eaten alone
There are a few whole heads of soft marinated garlic and some dried shrimps.
Brings out some garlic and shrimp aroma
The overall seasoning and taste are good. It is delicious braised cabbage.
Milkfish soup $75
Milkfish strips fried with kueh noodles
The batter is a little sweet, a bit like the batter used for traditional salty crispy chicken.
The milkfish strips are from the leaner part.
I don’t get the aroma of fish oil.
The fish meat is quite solid and the quantity is quite large. It’s quite cost-effective.
The soup is also on the sweet side, sour and sweet, very Tainanese.
Overall, the portion size is pretty good and the taste is okay. Highly recommended.
The overall taste is a bit sweet for me, but the portion of the soup is quite generous. If you want to eat fish but don't want to spend too much money, this is the place to go.
