BANCO is an Italian restaurant that specializes in kiln-baked pizza, homemade raw pasta, soft old rice risotto, oven-roasted chicken and other dishes. It only has 4 stores in Taiwan, all of which are in Taipei City.
Today I went to the Chongnan branch with my colleagues. This branch is located near 228 Park and about a 7-minute walk from National Taiwan University Hospital Station.
We originally wanted to make a reservation first, but the store clerk said that we couldn't make a reservation and asked us to wait on site. There seemed to be a lot of seats inside. There were 6 of us going to eat, and they could help share the table so that many people could gather together.
I have eaten their pizza, salad, and grilled chicken before, and they all tasted good. If you are dining with many people, I recommend ordering the Party Plan!
However, we didn’t order pizza or other shared meals this time. We ordered each one individually. Today I had stir-fried mushroom and zucchini garlic noodles for $240.
(An additional 10% service fee is required!)
There is a lot of cheese powder sprinkled on the pasta. If you don’t like the taste of cheese, you can remind the clerk not to add more cheese powder.
It is recommended to mix it well before eating so that the pasta can be completely coated with the sauce. Although it is stir-fried, the taste is not too bland and the seasoning is very good. After finishing it, you still feel a little unsatisfied!
The portions of mushrooms and zucchini are generous. The zucchini is roasted and has a slightly burnt flavor, which I personally think is a plus!
However, even I, who like mushrooms, find the taste of mushrooms a bit strong, and it doesn’t seem to blend well with the flavors of zucchini and pasta. It can probably be described as “different bedfellows” 😂
Overall, I think the performance of the pasta is about 70 points. The performance is good but the taste is not memorable. I don’t rule out visiting again in the future, but I won’t go out to find friends to eat it.
