Located on Zhuanqing Road in the Xinyi District, "Selfish Burger" is a popular local burger joint known for its creative flavors and special bread. The environment is comfortable and the atmosphere relaxed, making it suitable for gatherings or just simple relaxation while enjoying a hearty meal. I had tried their burgers before, and during this revisit, I not only had the familiar classics but also tried their newly launched limited edition burger.

First up was the "Classic / Brown Sugar Bread." The overall flavor was quite standard; the meat patty was cooked to a good doneness and well-seasoned, while the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Paired with their specially made brown sugar bread, although the overall presentation is conservative, the aroma of brown sugar is definitely prominent, becoming a major feature of this burger. The sweetness of the brown sugar stands out particularly with the first bite, seamlessly blending with the meat flavor in later bites, adding a layer of complexity to this classic burger.

Next was the limited-time option "Cheese Charcoal Roasted Pistachio / Brioche." This burger leans towards a sweeter flavor profile, featuring soft and fragrant brioche bread paired excellently with charcoal roasted pistachio sauce and creamy cheese. It had a rich and dense texture, bursting with sauce. The pistachio paste itself has a slight nutty oil fragrance, which, when combined with the savory cheese, presents a rich yet non-greasy perfect balance. Moreover, the generous amount of sauce made it truly enjoyable, resembling a dessert experience, and it was definitely the most impressive dish of the visit. 🥰

In summary, "Selfish Burger" remains a reliably good restaurant that occasionally brings surprises. If it's your first visit, the classic options are a safe bet; however, if you get a chance to go soon, I highly recommend trying the limited edition cheese pistachio burger (available only until 6/8). Not only is it high in creativity, but it is also genuinely delicious. 🍔
