Afternoon Tea2 pplNT$280

One day, while looking for places on Google Maps, I stumbled upon a shop. I immediately thought the shop's decor was beautifully understated. ❤️

Upon arrival, I went to the first floor to place my order. I wasn't sure if it was the owner or a staff member, but they enthusiastically and thoroughly introduced each dessert. If it weren’t for my small appetite, I really would have wanted to order one of each. XD

After ordering, I went up to the second floor to find a seat. Besides the usual tables and chairs, there were also spots where you could sit on the floor, with about 20 seats available.

I chose a window seat, and the afternoon sunlight streaming in created a lovely atmosphere.

Hojicha Latte (Hot) $140
It comes with syrup so you can adjust the sweetness to your liking. Drinks like this need a bit of sugar to taste better. Although the latte art was a bit of a failure, XD the hojicha here doesn’t have an overwhelming powdery taste, unlike others I’ve tried.

Sicilian Coffee (Iced) $120
The balance of lemon and coffee is just right, not too bitter or astringent.

Genmaicha Matcha Shiratama Kata (Seasonal Dessert) $140
This limited-time dessert has a rich texture. It has caramel on top and tastes like ice cream with shiratama (rice dumplings) inside and a layer of cookies at the bottom. You need to eat it quickly, or it will start to melt. It’s a bit on the sweeter side, but not overwhelming.

Brownie with Stretchy Sugar (Pulled Sugar Mochi Brownie) $160
When it was served, the brownie felt more like ice cream. The staff said you could eat it right away, but if you save a piece and eat it later, the texture will be different. The brownie itself is moderately sweet and bitter, and the mochi doesn’t stick to your teeth.

On a weekday afternoon, there were about 3-4 tables occupied, and by evening, it got quite empty. There’s no time limit, and the atmosphere inside is quiet and comfortable, perfect for spending an afternoon. (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧
