Izakaya | ¥2,500-¥2,760

AI Spot Summary

The quality of the lamb is good, with no off-flavors. The special lamb shoulder tenderloin and lamb shoulder meat are tender and flavorful. The lamb dumplings are strongly seasoned and pair well with spicy sauce. The iron plate vegetables are stir-fried with great aroma, and the lamb fried noodles are flavorful, with the noodles being chewy.

The store has an industrial retro style and a lively atmosphere, but the ventilation for smoke is poor, so it's advised not to wear freshly washed clothes when visiting.

The staff is friendly and offers special lamb dishes at a moderate price, suitable for customers looking to try new flavors.

Here is the translated text in English:

Upon seating, we were given hot towels and a Chinese menu. There were not many customers that day; only our group of foreign guests. Although I later saw the staff proactively helping the customer at the next table by putting their bag into a storage basket and covering it with a dust cover, we were not reminded or offered this service. With the language barrier and our meal almost over, we did not react specially.

🔹 Lamb shoulder ¥1280

  • The lamb was fragrant when grilled, with perfect fat distribution. The meat was firm but not dry, offering a bit of a chewy texture and completely free of any lamb smell. It can be tried in its original flavor before adding sauce; this was my favorite dish of the meal.

🔸 Lamb fillet (house special sauce) ¥1000

  • The meat was even more tender than the shoulder. Grilled after being marinated in the special sauce, the overall flavor was sweet but not overly rich, showing a distinct Japanese teriyaki style. The sweet and salty ratio of the special sauce was just right.

🔹 Rib lamb chop ¥780

  • The meat with tendons had a unique texture with a bit of chewiness. After grilling, the flavor was rich, somewhat similar to the texture found in Taiwanese skewers. It is recommended to grill it until crispy like pork belly; it pairs well with drinks.

🔸 Stir-fried lamb noodles ¥800

  • The flavor was average, leaning towards stronger tastes, but it was milder than what I’ve had in other restaurants. The first few bites were surprisingly impressive, but the stir-fried noodles were slightly oily, giving a bit of a greasy sensation towards the end.

🔹 Special chicken and vegetable stir-fry ¥750

  • It resembled stir-fried vegetables from Taiwanese hot pot restaurants, with the vegetables being crisp and adequately seasoned. For us, who haven't had much stir-fried greens in Japan, it was particularly needed.

🔸 Grilled rice ball ¥200

  • Ordinary, it tasted like just soy sauce mixed with rice and grilled, with no excessive seasonings. You can skip this item.

🔹 Lamb potstickers ¥700

  • They tasted like typical potstickers, but the skin wasn’t crispy enough; some were even broken when served. They had no noticeable lamb flavor but were adequately seasoned, so additional sauce isn't necessary.

🔅 Considered friendly to foreigners, the Chinese menu was not taken away after we ordered. They also pointed out which dish was served to us upon delivery, and there was no issue with differing prices on the Chinese and Japanese menus.
🔅 When leaving, they would accompany you to the door and even give you a piece of candy.
🔅 Prices include tax.
