The fried radish cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it tastes especially good with the sauce; the taro cake has a chewy texture and is reasonably priced. Simple and delicious, the portion is just right for a small snack.
The stall located in the night market has a simple environment, making it suitable for casual dining.

There's a shop that has recently gone viral after being spotted by bloggers, which should be familiar to many people in Banqiao as a budget-friendly snack. As a local, I've never tried it either; I could pair it with squid stir-fried from the next stall, haha.
▪️Radish Cake $25
▪️Taro Cake Q $15
When I went, I thought I remembered three items, but I only saw two. Later, I heard other customers asking and found out that one of the items was no longer available because the supplier stopped selling it. 😭 I love rice sausages, but I didn't get to try them at all~~~
Overall, I think it’s just simple and tasty. It’s not particularly amazing, but at this price and portion, it's pretty good as a snack. The radish cake was slightly fried and comes in two large pieces for $25. I’ve never had taro cake before since I don’t eat savory taro, but I thought I’d give it a try this time and found it quite delicious! It might also be because its texture is softer and chewy rather than the crumbly sensation of actual taro, which I really liked!
Located at a night market stall, the environment is up to personal consideration; the above is for reference.
Braces Review: For Takeout Only
Located in the Huangshi Market in Banqiao, the fried radish cake and taro cake Q are snacks made fresh on the spot and are especially delicious when paired with the store's sauce. The prices are also reasonable, with a serving of radish cake costing 25 TWD and a serving of taro cake Q costing 15 TWD.
The radish cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it tastes great with the sauce; the taro cake has a chewy texture. Every time I come to buy, I usually grab some squid soup from the stall next door as well. This combination not only enriches the flavor but also adds to the feeling of fullness—truly a culinary delight at Huangshi Market!
