🚩 A food-loving girl takes you to eat well in Taipei's Eastern District 🤭
📍 Location and Transportation: The Barbecue Factory is located in the famous Lane 216, Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, in Taipei's Eastern District. The nearest MRT station is Zhongxiao Dunhua Station, Exit 3, which is about a 4-minute walk. There are a few motorbike parking spots across from a 7-Eleven.
🏠 Space: The entrance has a ordering and cooking area, while the dining area is somewhat old-fashioned and cluttered, with the environment not being very clean, offering 32 seats.
💰 Ordering and Payment: You fill out a paper menu to order and pay after dining. Cash and various payment methods are accepted.
🍽️ Dishes:
The lunch set comes on a large plate, featuring white rice with three sides (pre-selected by the restaurant, no choice) and half a braised egg (formerly a soft-boiled egg but now only available for separate order). The amount of rice is substantial enough for men, and you can request more if you're still hungry. You can also drink soup as much as you want while dining in.
Milkfish belly rice: Priced at 160 NT, it’s a bit high, but the milkfish is whole, and the black part of the belly is intact and looks nice (I slightly broke it while flipping). It’s braised just right, not too salty.
Barbecue rice: The grilled meat feels a bit dry and is slightly salty but goes well with the rice.
💭 Summary:
If you think a restaurant must have decor ❌
If you have a big appetite and want to fill your stomach quickly ⭕
If you don't carry cash and prefer electronic payments ⭕
Although the description seems to suggest it's a place for men, there are still plenty of female customers, so you don’t have to worry about feeling awkward.
