Signature chicken shredded noodles served with sweet and spicy fish cake, the broth has a fragrant satay aroma, the noodles have a moderate texture, and the miso sauce adds flavor, making the overall dish delicious and rich in layers.
The restaurant is decorated in a Korean style, with white and gray tones paired with dark rose-red seats. The environment is comfortable, but the space is small, and there is a wait during peak hours.
Order must be picked up by yourself, soup refill service is provided, condiments can be taken at your own discretion, service efficiency is acceptable, but the space is small; it's recommended to provide storage baskets.
The signature chicken noodle soup is paired with sweet potato noodles, and the egg wrap slightly melts into the noodles, creating a smooth texture with rich layers. The overall flavor is quite delicious, priced at 105 TWD.
The miso sauce carries a rich aroma of fermented yellow soybeans, with layered complexity. Whether dipped alone or mixed into the soup, it enhances the flavor. The sauce can be self-served at the counter.
The soup base has a hint of satay aroma, making the pairing with chicken noodle quite unique. The noodles have a moderate texture, not overly soft or mushy. The shop offers a refill service, but one bowl of noodles is already more than enough. After eating in winter, your body feels warm and very comfortable.
A small suggestion: The space in the shop is somewhat cramped, so providing baskets for customers to place shopping bags or personal items would be more convenient.
🚩 Chicken Shredded Noodles + Sweet Potato Balls - A Simple and Quick Meal
I wasn't that hungry at noon today, so I walked over to Yanji Street to eat at this takeout place I've been to many times, Ji Tian Bu La. A few months ago, it moved from across the street to a new location. This new spot has a fresh decoration, whereas the original place had a vintage red Taiwanese vibe. The new decor primarily features white and gray, with dark rose-red seating, resembling a trendy Korean café. There are not many seats—19 in total—so you might have to wait a little during peak hours.
Regardless of whether you're dining in or taking out, you must order and pay at the counter outside. They accept cash and various payment methods. After placing your order, you wait for your number to be called to pick up your items, and then you clear your own table. The chopsticks and spoons for dine-in are disposable, which isn't very environmentally friendly.
Today I ordered the signature Chicken Shredded Noodles for $105, which included a lot of sweet potato ball ingredients. Personally, I think the texture is quite good and not mushy. The cooking time after ordering wasn't too long, but the chicken noodles were somewhat hard (though they can't really be too firm). I also added an egg, which wasn't very cooked and just floated in the soup, leaving me with some questions. The broth's flavor was decent and drinkable, and there was a small amount of satay sauce to mix in according to your taste preferences.
This place has only a 3.7 rating on Google, with many 1.2 scores. Personally, I think it's not that bad aside from the slightly high prices (but the shop is located in the East District). Taste is very subjective, and what might be a deal breaker for someone could be your favorite spot. 😅
