The ingredients are fresh, the spicy soup base has a moderate level of heat and is rich in layers of flavor. The thinly sliced beef and pork are of excellent quality, and the deep-fried dough sticks are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside after soaking up the broth. The ramen is somewhat ordinary.
The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable, suitable for gatherings of friends or couples, and offers check-in activities to add some fun.
The service staff are friendly and attentive, providing cases to protect bags and jackets, and they respond quickly to customer needs.
We ordered a couple’s meal and chose spicy hot pot as our single soup base, along with marbled beef, pork shoulder, fresh shrimp balls, fried dough sticks, handmade ramen, and oolong tea. Overall, the ingredients were fresh, the broth rich, the service attentive, and the environment of the restaurant was clean and comfortable, making it suitable for gatherings with friends or couples.
Additionally, the restaurant has a Google review check-in promotion, where you get free sour plum juice for checking in. If you're interested, it’s best not to order the sour plum juice when you place your order!
🍲 Spicy Hot Pot Base
The spicy broth at Qinghua Jiao has a moderate level of spiciness but is very layered, with a strong numbing flavor. Drinking it gives a warm, stimulating sensation, and if you need to adjust the spiciness, you can always ask the waiter. The broth also has aromas of Chinese medicinal herbs, like Sichuan peppercorns and star anise, and the flavor intensifies the longer it cooks, making it perfect for dipping meat and vegetables!
🥩 Marbled Beef and Pork Shoulder
The marbled beef has a well-distributed fat content. After dipping it in the spicy hot pot broth for about 10 seconds, the meat melts in your mouth while carrying a hint of sweetness. The pork shoulder was also fantastic, complementing the spicy broth perfectly, and it didn’t feel greasy at all.
🥖 Fried Dough Sticks
Although they’re a classic hot pot ingredient, after soaking in the spicy broth, they turn out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a strong soup aroma when you bite into them. It’s incredibly satisfying.
🍜 Ramen
The ramen was somewhat ordinary, and there was also white rice available in the self-serve area.
🍵 Oolong Tea
It tastes refreshing and sweet, perfectly balancing out the spicy sensation of the hot pot. Having a sip after finishing the hot pot is very soothing and helps cleanse the palate.
I recently saw that Qinghuajiao opened in Xinzhuang and I really wanted to eat there. I happened to have a family gathering recently so I came here to eat.
I quite like this environment, very quiet and retro. However, it is quite inconvenient for 9 people to eat at two tables.
In terms of food, I think they are generally quite satisfactory. As for the spicy hotpot, I still prefer Haidilao's spicy hotpot in Xinzhuang. Qinghuajiao and Zhanji are somewhat similar.
In addition, I really like that their plum juice comes with a bucket of crushed ice for you to add yourself, which I think is great.
In terms of service, the service was pretty good during the meal. I often came to ask if I wanted to add base and help clear away the empty plates.
However, the store clerks were not very clear about the discounts. To use the coupons, you had to ask one by one. The information at the final checkout was out of sync with other store clerks, which made it a bit troublesome.
But I should still come here to eat if I want to eat sometimes😄
Qinghuajiao has been open near my home for a while. This time, I mainly came to celebrate the birthdays of my daughter and mother-in-law👧👵🎉🎉
In fact, I have eaten Qinghuajiao many times before, and I also bought frozen pot bottoms at Costco. Overall, I think it is good, so I will give you a try today. Today, there are a total of 7 adults and 2 children, divided into two tables. Although it was mentioned in the initial reservation that there would be 2 tables, I thought there would be a table for 4 people and a table for 6 people. It turned out that there were actually 2 tables for 4 people. They The chairs are too big, and the dining area is arranged, which makes it very uncomfortable for a family member to sit in the corner. We ate at 14:15, which is off-peak, but the staff did not help to change tables🙁
Our table ordered the mandarin duck pot, and the meat ordered Matsusaka pork, pork belly with skin, bacon beef (redeemed with 7-11ATM coupons), colorful vegetable treasure box, fried dough sticks, shrimp sliders, shrimp salmon and spicy hotpot. Prepare plum juice. The meat is as delicious as the shrimp sliders, but today I feel that the spicy pot is a little less spicy and fragrant. The plum juice is a bit sweet and I recommend adding crushed ice. The overall meal is still passable. However, there have always been minor problems with the service. In addition to the inappropriate seating arrangements at the beginning, my family had found some coupons today. During the ordering process, some clerks were confused and it took a long time. The result was even more shocking. The clerk couldn't quite figure out the contents of the coupon when checking out. Although he gave it to us in the end, I felt that the overall experience today was not very good and the food was not as expected, which made me a little disappointed😞
