A Korean restaurant opened in Zuoying, Kaohsiung 🇰🇷 The owner and the owner's wife (I assume) are both Korean. During meal times, I kept hearing their conversations in Korean, which suddenly made me feel like I was on a faux Korean trip. Although I can communicate in simple Chinese, I could tell that we weren't having fluid conversations. If I had questions, I could take my time speaking. Also, I think the handwritten Chinese menu shows a lot of sincerity 🙂‍↕️

There aren’t too many seats, about three four-person tables and some outdoor seating. I arrived around ten minutes after they opened at 11:00, and by around 11:30, the restaurant was full inside, with one table still available outside. It seemed like the business was pretty good. If you’re dining alone like I was, you can enjoy a super spacious dining area. However, for this type of Korean cuisine where you want to try a bit of everything, I still recommend sharing with more people, or else the cost might hurt your wallet🤣.

The menu is packed with options that make it really hard to decide; I was even wondering if the owner could really produce all those dishes, such as ramen, jajangmyeon, hot dogs, fried chicken, stews, rice soup, and even barbecue… especially interesting were the spicy crab and blood sausage that I had never seen in Taiwan!

✐ Mozza Hot Dog $70
· There are several varieties of fried hot dogs, and the Mozza hot dog is a mix of cheese sticks and hot dogs. Its special feature is that it’s coated with sugar on the outside, and you can add your favorite sauces (the shop offers cheese sauce, yellow mustard, and ketchup). I added the first two, and they paired well without being greasy. The outside was crispy and the inside cheesy; just eating one gave me a slight feeling of fullness.

✐ Blood Sausage with Rice Cake $220
· I’ve been yearning for blood sausage since returning from Korea. Actually, Korean blood sausage comes in many varieties, and whether it’s handled well makes all the difference! If the taste is too gamey the first time, you probably won’t want to try it again🤣 I feel like the flavor here may be hard for many to accept; there is still a gamey taste (but it’s quite similar to one I tried at a certain stall in the Wangsimni market). However, there are only about 5 or 6 pieces in a serving, so those who want to taste it can still give it a try. The sauce is more on the watery side, and the rice cakes are very soft. Overall, it’s not really my style; I prefer thicker sauces and firmer rice cakes. 🤩

✐ Jajangmyeon $180
· One of the representative dishes of Korean cuisine, it’s very flavorful, and the noodles aren’t too soft or mushy. However, it’s a bit salty overall, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering it alone; otherwise, you’ll get tired of the taste by the end. Jajangmyeon is best enjoyed in big bites! ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ

✐ Banana Milk $50
· The fridge has many varieties of Korean drinks, and the prices are clearly marked. Basically, they have all the famous ones, and I chose the most versatile, banana milk 🍌. Additionally, there are some Korean snacks and instant noodles available for purchase on the nearby shelves, so interested people can take a look!
