In Kaohsiung, at the corner of Ben Guan Road and Fen Yang Road, there is a brunch place that I noticed was very popular when I drove by. The decor of the shop also looked nice, so I immediately turned around to find a place to go in and try it out.
The seating inside includes first and second floors and outdoor seating. The first-floor seating is quite crowded, and the restaurant follows a semi-self-service model where diners need to return their used plates after finishing their meals.
The pot-burned noodles are priced at NT$95. The shop first prepares the soup before adding the noodles, so the noodles don’t get too soft. You can choose how long to soak the noodles based on your taste preference. The soup is fresh and sweet, and it comes with four clams, slices of meat, meatballs, and vegetables. Overall, it has a good value for money and is really delicious.
I highly recommend trying their ultra-thick milk toast. Each season features different flavors, and this time I ordered the Tieguanyin milk toast. When it arrived at the table, I was shocked at how thick it was! Spreading a layer of Tieguanyin milk on it and taking a bite was surprisingly delicious. I thought it would be dry, but it definitely wasn't. The thick milk toast is soft and tasty, and each piece is really large—it could be hard to finish without sharing. I definitely recommend it!
