Title: Student Food Review – What to Eat

Today I visited a café near Xing Tian Gong
Café Raco

★ Meals:
French Spinach Salmon Quiche $190
Sicilian Coffee (no ice) $140

★ Thoughts:
We made a reservation and sat from 11 o'clock until almost 3 in the afternoon.
It's a café with no time limit.

I recommend the Sicilian Coffee; it’s a large cup, about 650 ml.
The flavor is well-balanced but a bit on the sweet side.

The main dish here has small portions, so I chose the French Spinach Salmon Quiche to save some money.
It has a relatively refreshing taste with not many memorable features.
The pie crust is not crispy but it doesn’t get soggy from the filling either.
There were about 3-4 pieces of lettuce on the side, already drizzled with Caesar dressing (which I’m not a fan of being pre-applied).

There’s a minimum order of one beverage.
Self-service for meal pickup and plate return.

★ Waiting time:
10-15 minutes.

Conclusion: Undeniably a five-star rating for the working environment, but the meals are quite ordinary, small, and not tasty… 😂 However, I would definitely be willing to return, I would just eat beforehand!

Cafe Raco is a time-unlimited café, equipped with power outlets and wifi. The counter even has extension cords available to borrow! The best feature is that they allow online reservations through inline booking!

There are many sections inside the café, and you can make reservations down to the specific table. Once you book that table, it’s reserved for you all day as long as you don’t leave! I recommend area DE for work or studying!

Lastly, a brief mention about the food: I really don’t recommend the savory pie, it has a completely floury crust texture, definitely don’t order unless you’re extremely hungry… The American-style food is also quite ordinary. On the other hand, I loved the hot milk tea, which comes with hot milk for you to mix on your own!

The restroom is pretty clean~

Today the office has no water, so I found a nearby café suitable for working on Fooday and came here! Overall rating: very suitable for working! But you must make a reservation.

We were lucky to get the last available table, but it was a bit more like a sofa height seat, which actually isn't very suitable for sitting with a laptop for a long time. By the end, everyone was a bit sore in the back and waist.

As for the meals, I can only say they are average, slightly overpriced, and the portions are small. The braised beef I ordered for $275 only came with two pieces of bread and a portion about the size of a soup bowl. By the afternoon, I was really quite hungry. However, the environment is perfect, and you can stay and work here until the evening.

There is super air conditioning and sockets, as well as WiFi and two toilets.
The key toilet is surprisingly clean and a bit literary.
Extension cords are even provided, and conference rooms and projectors can be rented.

After coming in, regardless of whether you have made a reservation or not, go to the counter and report to the clerk first.
Take the food machine by the way, there is a QR code on it to order food at the location
Pay first after ordering. The machine will vibrate when the meal is completed.
Then go to the counter to pick up your meal, and you have to recycle it yourself after using it~

The space is very large and has areas A~G, and you can freely choose your seat when making a reservation.

The styles in each district are different. After visiting twice, I think
Area D is the most suitable location for working and studying with friends
The table for four is big enough and the tables are far apart
No wonder Area D is the most popular for online reservations.ᐟ

Next to area F is a floor-to-ceiling window. The sofa area is also suitable for using laptops.
But because of the seat, my waist is a little sore after sitting for a long time~
Sometimes this area is very lively and sometimes it is so quiet that it looks like a library.
If you want to be quieter, you may want to choose the partition in G area.

There are many food and drink options, but desserts are the main focus

The toasted bread is perfect to eat with the soup.
It tastes a bit like slightly dry French bread with a bit of a chewy texture.
Gumbo tastes a lot like a traditional family steakhouse with a twist of pepper
It tastes like the consistency of nasal mucus ~ it feels like a conditioning package
There's plenty of corn and chicken, so it's a decent meal.

Earl Gray tea is the familiar taste of TWININGS~

Lychee oolong tea smells like the sweet taste of lychee QQ balls
It actually tastes like fragrant oolong tea with a little aroma.
Hot tea can be brewed back, which is very suitable for people who sit for a long time🙌🏻
