The restaurant's oyster dishes are diverse and fresh, including raw oysters, fried oysters, and steamed oyster rice. Overall satisfaction is high, but the flavor of the steamed oysters is slightly below expectations.
The restaurant environment is spacious, featuring a Japanese-style garden. The atmosphere is comfortable, especially in the dining area at the back.
The employees come from multiple countries, speak both Chinese and English, communicate without barriers, and provide a good service experience.
📍Japan, Hiroshima, Miyajima
A big oyster meal on Omotesando Shopping Street 🦪⛩️
Hiroshima's oyster season runs from November to March, and there are many restaurants on Miyajima named after oysters. During meal times, there are long lines, and this place, Yakigaki No Hayashi, requires lining up in the adjacent alley.
The clientele is split around half Japanese and half foreign visitors, and the restaurant staff includes Chinese and Indian individuals, so you can converse in both Chinese and English 😂.
The restaurant is very spacious! The area we were assigned to was at the back of the restaurant, with an indoor space featuring a Japanese garden outside the window. In this area, even two people are seated at a four-person table, making for a much more comfortable dining environment compared to the area near the entrance!

Menu Items
🦪 Four Raw Oysters Set (¥3,300):
The set is incredibly rich, perfect for those who love oysters! 🫶🏻
Four raw oysters
The best raw oysters! Served with grated daikon, green onions, light soy sauce, and lemon wedges. You can taste how incredibly fresh they are, delicious and juicy without needing any seasoning! They have a strong ocean flavor! No freezer taste at all.
Three fried oysters
The fried oysters are very plump! The creamy flavor is more abundant compared to the raw ones. They feel like the biggest fried oysters I’ve ever had, showing no signs of shrinking from frying.
Two steamed oysters rice
The rice dish is quite good! However, the steamed oysters don't retain the essence of the oysters, somewhat similar to the reduced flavor of oysters in oyster omelets, so I wouldn’t recommend this.
🍘 Fried Oysters (¥1,750):
There are a total of six fried oysters, and they are also quite large. Served with lemon wedges, five-flavor sauce, and tartar sauce.

Would I return? Probably not 🤔
I really enjoyed both the food and the environment! I would give it five stars 🌟. However, I’m not sure if it was the oysters from this place, as I later tried grilled oysters from another restaurant on the same street, and they were also very fresh. The next day, I started showing symptoms of food poisoning, so I deducted a star 🌟 and am likely not to return.
