This shop located in Shilin often requires waiting in line, indicating its popularity in the area.
The freshly prepared mode requires a short wait of about 13 minutes, but it's worth the wait.
At Luv in Crepes in the streets of Shilin, Taipei. I saw a post about this place on Threads and went to try it out in the evening. The shop is located in the Shilin District, and there was quite a line of people waiting. I arrived at 8:30 PM and was lucky enough to buy the second-to-last crepe! They make each crepe fresh upon ordering, so there's a bit of a wait; I waited about 13 minutes that day.
Strawberry Brownie
Their Japanese-style soft crepe—it's not the crispy French crepe style but leans more towards a chewy, soft, cake-like texture. It’s warm and has a delightful chewiness, which is a big plus.
The strawberries in the filling were a bit tart, but it’s understandable since it’s summer, and they create a clever balance with the rich brownie chunks. The brownie itself is moist and carries a strong cocoa aroma; when paired with the slightly sour strawberries and the soft crepe, it creates a rich and layered flavor profile that is not overly sweet 🍓.
The menu at "Luv in Crepes" has a number of options, ranging from the classic strawberry banana to tiramisu, each looking quite sincere. The prices are reasonable for desserts in Taipei, and the portions are quite generous. If I happen to be in the Shilin Night Market or nearby activities again, I would definitely visit again~
