A breakfast with a sense of ritual can fill the whole day with energy ˶˃ᴗ˂˶☀️
I recommend this incredibly popular brunch spot in Kaohsiung.
There probably isn’t really an off-peak time throughout the day... There are always people waiting. If you're not going spontaneously, it’s best to make a reservation online; usually, booking a week in advance works well. As for someone like me who wants to sleep in and then try my luck, I'll just wait politely for my turn ⌯'Ⱉ'⌯.
I went about an hour and a half before closing, and there should have been about four or five groups waiting outside. The staff told me it would be a one and a half hour wait. After leaving my number, I got a message about 45 minutes later that a table was ready, which was quite different from the original time estimate, but I was lucky :D
The atmosphere of the place makes me feel like I’m in Australia.
It’s just the relaxing, leisurely brunch vibe I love on weekends 🍂
(Btw, everyone dining here was young and trendy, so I’ll remember to dress up next time…)

Their menu mainly features set meals but also offers room for customer preferences, like seven different types of bread to choose from at additional prices for each. You can also choose your drinks 🥤

✐ The baker's big platter $320
(Honey French toast +$20)
· This is the classic breakfast platter, brilliantly colorful and nutritionally balanced, making me feel great ☀️
In the center, there’s slightly tangy yogurt, not the thick kind you find in stores, but reminiscent of the yogurt I used to make at home with a yogurt maker. I'm not sure if it's homemade, but it has a handcrafted feel.
There’s also crispy lettuce, large juicy zucchini pieces, and the highlight of the meal: thick bacon and German sausage that you want to savor in the last few bites.
The honey French toast I chose was very soft and definitely had a distinct honey flavor; it’s a very versatile starch.
Additionally, the black tea that came with the platter had a flavor you could easily imagine; the advantage is that it wasn't too sweet 👍🏻

A breakfast costing $340 is actually quite luxurious, but the quality here really reassures you, and it’s a wonderful way to start the day.
