The beef noodles at Xiao Wu Beef Noodle are impressively portioned, with large chunks of beef and chewy noodles. The broth is not overly salty and becomes even richer with the addition of spicy beef oil. The side dishes like Taiwanese pickles, pig ears, and chicken feet are all delicious.
The seating inside the shop is spacious, and the environment is located on the first floor of an old public housing building. Although it can't be considered extremely clean, it is maintained at a certain level of cleanliness.

I have heard about this beef noodle battleground for a long time. Today, I finally have the chance to try it out!
This time I ordered:
⭐️ Beef Noodle (Small) 💰110
I was surprised when it arrived; the portion was unexpectedly large. The beef chunks were whole pieces, and the noodles were like ramen. The broth was not overly salty. There was also spicy beef oil and pickled vegetables on the side that I could add. Although it's called spicy beef oil, it wasn't too spicy when I tried it. Once added, it made the broth even richer. The noodles were chewy, making me want to have one bite after another.
⭐️ Various Side Dishes 💰30 per box
I ordered Taiwanese pickled vegetables, pig ears, and phoenix claws. The pickled vegetables were sweet and sour. The pig ears had a strong five-spice flavor. The phoenix claws were slightly spicy. All of them were delicious side dishes!
In summary, it's a beef noodle restaurant with a very high value for money. I will definitely visit again!
Little Wu Beef Noodle Shop is located on Luoyang Street in Wanhua District, right next to the soon-to-be-demolished Xining Public Housing. It’s about a 10-minute walk from both Taipei Station and the core area of Ximending.
This 24-hour old-school beef noodle shop is a salvation for many foodies late at night, although many of the beef noodle shops emerging from Zhengzhou Street are also open 24 hours.
Today, I enjoyed the mixed noodles, priced at 130 TWD.
Mixed Noodles:
In a large bowl, you get to enjoy beef, tripe, and beef tendon all at once. The rich collagen and chewy texture intertwine, creating a rich and substantial mouthfeel.
The beef is stewed to perfection, with a slight chewiness, the tripe is springy and crispy, while the tendon is tender and melts in your mouth yet still offers good texture.
The broth is a rich, savory red-braised base, with a hint of traditional herbal fragrance.
Some might find it a bit bland, but just add a spoonful of the beef oil on the table, and you’ll instantly enjoy the aroma released as the hot soup melts the beef oil—delicious in every aspect.
The noodles are a medium thickness, wide pull noodles with a substantial yet quite springy texture. I really enjoy this style of noodle.
In addition to the beef and broth, there’s also pickled vegetables available at the table for everyone to take. The finely chopped pickled vegetables have the perfect level of acidity, enhancing the beef’s freshness.
Besides the orange beef oil, there’s also a darker spicy beef oil.
Just adding a spoonful elevates the aroma instantly, adding richness to the broth and enhancing flavor complexity.
If you accidentally add too much and the soup cools down, preventing the beef oil from melting, you can ask the staff for some beef broth to enjoy the flavors again.
Overall, this is a hearty portion, reasonably priced, and operating 24 hours—a classic beef noodle shop.
Little Wu Beef Noodle Shop is not just a favorite among locals; many tourists also make a special trip to Taipei to visit.
The seating inside is relatively spacious; while the environment belongs to an old public housing unit on the first floor and can't be described as super clean, it is kept tidy.
I highly recommend it to everyone!
