The dishes such as mentaiko rice bowl and Hakata tonkotsu ramen taste pretty good, especially the ramen broth, which is rich and allows for extra noodles, making it suitable for friends with a big appetite. The fried chicken udon has chewy noodles, a fresh and sweet broth, and a moderate portion of fried chicken pieces.
The dining environment is comfortable, and the space does not feel crowded, making it a great choice for simple meals within the station. During meal times, there are many people, but you won't have to wait too long.
The meal service speed is fast, drinks are provided, and the overall service efficiency is high.
Just arrived at Banqiao Station, and it was very crowded during meal time, so I chose a place with a short wait.
After sitting down and looking around, I decided to order the fried chicken udon, and the meal came out quickly.
Compared to another well-known chain udon shop, the noodles here are very chewy and have a great bite to them, and they feel more like traditional Japanese noodles.
The broth seems to be made from bonito flakes, with a hint of sweetness that pairs quite nicely with the udon.
As for the fried chicken pieces, the portion is just right, and they don’t use too much batter, so you can really taste the chicken juice. Overall, it’s fried quite well and suits my personal taste.
#Banciao Station
If I'm not mistaken, this should also be a chain store.
This branch in Banciao is located on B1 of Banciao Station, under the Universal Shopping Center.
There are plenty of seats available, and unless it's peak time on holidays, you generally don’t need to wait much.
We ordered the mentaiko bowl and Hakata tonkotsu ramen.
The portion of mentaiko in the bowl is decent, but the rice amount is a bit small.
I think it's just right if you don't eat much.
The Hakata tonkotsu ramen tastes pretty good, quite rich in flavor.
Moreover, if you finish the noodles, you can get a refill, which is very friendly for those with big appetites. 😆
The onsite review mentioned that they serve crepes, which were fried crispy on the outside and soft inside, but!!! They were way too greasy!!!
I don’t know if they were taken straight from the fryer to serve, but since this was complimentary, I'll let it slide….
Overall, I think the dining environment is quite nice; it’s not too cramped, and the service is pretty fast.
It’s a decent choice for a simple meal at the station.
If it weren't for that crepe, I might have given it another star. 🌟
