Each meal consists of one main dish paired with 3 to 5 side dishes.
I think the main dish is the most seasoned part of the meal, so it has to be eaten with vegetables and rice to get the right balance. Otherwise, the main dish alone can be quite salty, and the vegetables are usually just boiled, which can be a bit boring when eaten alone.
For vegetarians, it’s a nutritionally balanced meal, and even non-vegetarians can enjoy this guilt-free delicacy.
