Pasta | NT$900~NT$1,350

AI Spot Summary

The overall meal was quite good, the steak pasta and spaghetti performed excellently, but the steak had a mediocre texture. The dessert varies depending on personal taste. It is recommended that those who like pasta choose other options.

The restaurant atmosphere is suitable for gatherings or entertaining guests, but parking may pose a challenge; it is recommended to use public transportation to visit.

The response from the server was quick, but the preparation time for the dishes needs improvement, especially the speed of serving desserts and drinks.

I really wanted to eat at an Italian restaurant after work on the weekend, and I found this Lu Lu restaurant while looking through a list. I called to ask, and there were still seats available on Friday night. So, I decided to give it a try.

There is one issue in this area: parking is very difficult to find. I drove around several times and ended up spending about 20 minutes looking for a space in a very expensive parking lot, but I was so hungry that I just bit the bullet and parked there. I would recommend that anyone planning to eat here should not drive.

Since I parked for quite a while, the other person had already placed the order. By the time I arrived, the food was almost ready to be served, so we began eating right away. For the appetizer, we ordered the Mexican chicken pie, which actually tasted pretty good, but like most Mexican chicken pies, it was just a Mexican chicken pie.

The bread was refillable, and since the bread was quite delicious and I was very hungry, we went for two rounds—no, actually just one round total. But we were afraid of getting too full to finish the main course, so we didn’t go for a second round even though we were tempted to have more.

For the main course, we simply ordered a plate of pasta and a lamb chop. The lamb chop was noted by the waiter as being the last one available that day, so we ordered it. Later, we found out we were actually the last table to be served, so we managed to grab the final portion. The lamb was quite tasty; the flavor was very rich, which I didn’t love, but the other person really enjoyed it. If you like rich lamb flavors, you must give it a try.

The other dish was a steak pasta, which was essentially a piece of steak + a serving of pasta. It was fairly pricey, but since I really wanted to eat steak, I decided to give it a try. The pasta tasted quite good, but the steak was rather ordinary. I remember we ordered it medium rare, but it looked more like medium well when it arrived. However, since the medium well tasted alright, I felt that going for medium rare wouldn't have made much difference, so I didn’t say anything. But the quality of the steak was truly quite average, so I would suggest that anyone wanting to eat pasta should just stick with other pasta dishes.

Finally, for dessert, we had a seriously crafted handmade cream puff, which looked quite nice, but I found it just okay—it might just be that desserts aren’t my thing. As for the juice, it was actually quite delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice, although it took quite a while to prepare. By the time we finished our meal and dessert, it still hadn’t arrived, and we only realized we had ordered juice when we were ready to pay the bill.

In the end, I didn’t give a very high rating, mainly because the prices were rather steep. The two of us had three dishes and it came to $2,700, which was a bit astonishing… Overall, there weren’t any major issues, but considering the price, I felt it didn't deliver great value for money.
