The braised pork rice in the restaurant is known for its fragrant aroma and has a rich historical background. Although the overall dishes are quite standard, there is a wide variety of choices, and the service is quick.
The store environment is clean, comfortable, and bright, maintaining the spirit of tradition for sixty years.
In August of the 58th year of the Republic, the founder, Mr. Lin Jincai, set up a stall under a big banyan tree next to No. 2 Shuanglian Street to sell braised pork rice.
There was no sign, just a few tables and chairs, and it was thanks to a pot of fragrant braised pork that he won the affection of the neighbors nearby.
Since the neighbors were familiar with him and didn't want to call him by his full name, they referred to him as "Braised Pork Cai" (魯肉財), combining braised pork rice with his name.
This nickname has been used for decades and gradually became a cherished memory and flavor in everyone’s hearts, symbolizing the spirit we continue today.
From a stall to a storefront, from an unnamed small stand to Shuanglian Street's Braised Pork Rice, "Braised Pork Cai" is now not only a shop name but also a legacy.
The shop has been around for nearly sixty years and has undergone changes in location and management. The environment is clean, comfortable, and bright. The food is served quickly with many options, making it ideal for a quick lunch to fill one’s stomach.
