The meal prices are affordable, the curry beef sauce has a rich flavor, but the amount of meat is not much. The noodles have a good chewiness, the miso soup is richly garnished, and there is also free winter melon tea.
The interior decoration is modern and clean, and the layout is tidy. The kitchen is also very neat. It is suitable for students to dine, and the issue with oil fumes has improved.
The service is good, offering free drinks, and the overall performance is quite nice for students.
This shop has been around since my high school days. Just steps away from the school gate, you can reach it in less than a hundred meters. It is an enduring old store in the Zhongyi business district. For students, it's a great value place, offering a large amount of carbohydrates at a cheap price. 😂
This time, coming back feels like a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I immediately ordered my favorite curry beef from back in the day. You read that right; even though it has gone from 60 TWD to 100 TWD, the highlight of the sauce is really just the flavor. Don't expect to find a lot of meat or toppings. However, the noodles are very chewy. Plus, for an additional 10 TWD, you can get a bowl of miso soup filled with ingredients. There’s also free winter melon tea to drink.
The decor in the shop actually gets revamped every so often, and it feels more and more modern and clean each time; even the kitchen is quite tidy. Previously, it was a typical small shop along Zhongyi Street, where smoke from cooking would fill the whole seating area.
Overall, if considered in the student dining area, it performs quite well, but if there isn’t a specific purpose, I probably wouldn’t visit again.
Now it costs $110 to have staple food, soup, and vegetables, and it’s really not easy to still be full! There is also unlimited refillable winter melon tea for internal use.
There are actually plenty of seats in the store, but it will still be full during dining hours, and you may encounter people sharing tables. People who mind sharing tables may want to consider it.
The noodles are very good, but a bit soft. There is a lot of sauce, but it is all meat sauce, so there is a little less meat.
Although the menu says blanched vegetables, I think it feels more like stir-fried vegetables. The garlic flavor is strong and the vegetables are not too soft. The miso soup is sweet, and there are kelp and tofu!
If you don’t particularly want to eat any snacks, you will probably come here again for noodles!
