The dining options are abundant, including various hot pot soups, a buffet of cooked dishes, and Mongolian barbecue. The taste and quality are average, but it is suitable for buffet lovers who do not seek high-end flavors.
The dining area of the restaurant is spacious, mostly featuring large round tables, making it suitable for groups as well as individual customers, and the environment is comfortable.
The staff is friendly, the service is attentive, and the checkout process is convenient.
🚩 Taipei's Mongolian BBQ All-You-Can-Eat Buffet – You Don't Have to Go Home Hungry
The Daqing Gobi Mongolian BBQ flagship store is located on Songjiang Road in the Zhongshan District of Taipei City, with the nearest MRT station being Songjiang Nanjing Station, Exit 8. The restaurant has a prominent yellow sign, and you can take the elevator or walk up the stairs from the building's entrance to reach the dining area. There are many seats in the dining area, mostly large round tables. Before 2022, it mainly catered to group customers, but in recent years, there have been more individual diners.
The staff guides you to your seat and will first ask about the hot pot soup base flavors. Today, the selections are classic spicy hot pot and pork bone broth. Once you’ve made your choice, you can head to the buffet area. Toward the end of the meal, a staff member will come to your table for the bill. On weekdays for dinner, it’s $479 per person, payable in cash or by card, with an invoice that has a carrier, and a service charge of +10%.
The buffet offers a wide variety of options. Besides chilled hot pot ingredients, there are also ready-to-eat items: steamed dim sum, as well as various stir-fried, fried, and boiled dishes—about forty to fifty types. The highlight is the self-selected meat and vegetables + sauces for Mongolian BBQ. After you’ve filled a bowl and placed it on the conveyor belt, you wait for the staff to stir-fry it. Sometimes, there may be a lot of people waiting, so it’s better to go when the line is shorter. There are also many beverage options, and I personally recommend the bubble tea, with a large pot of freshly made pearls available. You can customize your drink to 90% pearls and 10% milk tea, which is awesome😍. Finally, there are desserts, fruits, and ice cream, but I didn’t get to try those because I was full, so I cannot provide feedback on them.
Overall, the flavors and quality of the dishes are average, but an all-you-can-eat place isn't about seeking out divine tastes, in my opinion, it’s acceptable🤣.
