The Le Mian House Ximen Store is located on Kunming Street in the Wanhua District, near the extremely lively core area of Ximen Ding. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the MRT station.

Today, I ordered the Jiro-style garlic ramen and Japanese fried chicken, totaling 400 NT dollars.

Jiro-style garlic ramen:
Le Mian House has a characteristic where each branch has a unique limited dish. The special item at the Ximen store is this bowl of Jiro-style garlic ramen. Jiro-style is a specific style of Japanese ramen, but I won’t elaborate on the details.

This bowl of ramen features a rich garlic-flavored broth that is aromatic when served. The broth is thick but not greasy. The standard noodles are thick and chewy, and Le Mian House offers free noodle refills; the refills always come with thinner noodles. One meal allows you to enjoy both thick and thin noodles with different textures, which is truly delightful.

The toppings are quite abundant, including plenty of cabbage and bean sprouts, providing a refreshing taste to balance the rich broth. The slices of chashu pork are of moderate thickness, tender, and rich in fat, enhancing the flavor of the garlic broth. The overall portion is very generous, living up to the name of Jiro-style.

Japanese fried chicken:
The fried chicken has a golden, crispy skin and is fried to perfection, not overly greasy. The chicken is tender and juicy, and when paired with mayonnaise and lemon slices, it not only cuts through the greasiness but also enhances the flavor of the fried chicken.

Overall, this is a very worthwhile Japanese ramen chain to enjoy. I've visited this restaurant dozens of times, with more than half of my visits opting for the Jiro-style garlic ramen, which is really delicious. The restaurant has two floors and is not very spacious, as it is very popular, often requiring you to wait in line.

Le Mian House is very meticulous with customization; in addition to the portion and hardness of the noodles, you can adjust the thickness of the broth and the amount of bean sprouts and vegetables according to the different settings provided when ordering. Previously, the restaurant used tablet ordering, but now QR code ordering has become the norm, and the restaurant has adapted to this change.

I highly recommend it to everyone!
