Nestled in the alleys of Yingming Street, Zhaocai Coffee is truly a "healing" café. Upon entering, you’ll realize the emphasis isn’t on the food—but rather on the capybaras and a group of cats that call this place home. Just seeing these furry staff members is enough to make you forget your worries!

The biggest surprise in the café is undoubtedly the presence of capybaras. They move slowly around the shop like two gentle giants with a strong aura, sometimes lounging by the water pool, sometimes soaking up the sun by the window, occasionally lifting their heads to gaze at you with those round eyes. Their steady steps and relaxed expressions exude a unique "slow living philosophy," as if reminding everyone to let go of urgency and enjoy the moment. Being able to interact closely with the capybaras, even taking photos with them, is definitely a dreamlike experience for many 🍊.

In addition to capybaras, the number of cats here is quite impressive. From the lazy ones sprawled in cardboard boxes to the seemingly sharp-eyed yet very affectionate Maji, each has its own little story and personality description displayed on the walls. Most of these cats are friendly and will comfortably nap beside guests at their tables or snuggle into cat scratching posts, showing off various "lazy poses." Whether you're watching them sleep or surprised by a sudden meow, you’ll be instantly healed 🐈🐈‍⬛.

While many are drawn here for the animals, the drinks are also fairly standard. This time I ordered the “Brown Sugar Fresh Milk Tea,” topped with finely textured milk foam, with a rich brown sugar aroma and sweetness on the higher side, perfect for sweet lovers. The rich and smooth mouthfeel makes it a dessert-like delight.

The “Rose Lemon Bubble” has a subtle rose fragrance, pronounced acidity that’s not harsh on the throat, and a refreshing bubbly texture, making it perfect for summer—an ideal refreshment for an entire experience of “cat cuddling and capybara watching” 🍋.

The minimum spend for sitting in is just one drink, but the opportunity to interact with the cats and get up close with the capybaras makes it definitely worth it!
