The turkey rice has a fragrant taste of chicken fat and pepper, not too oily or too dry; the red fermented pork tastes good, but it is a bit too fatty.
The seating inside the store is limited, and it is located close to the Cultural Road Night Market, making it convenient for walking there.
The food is served very quickly, with hardly any wait time.
When you come to Chiayi, you must try turkey rice! Since I wanted to stroll through the Cultural Road Night Market as well, I visited Xia (Fang-Min) Turkey Rice, which is about a 5-minute walk from the night market. However, I needed to save some appetite for the night market, so I only ordered the turkey rice and the red yeast rice pork.
The restaurant doesn't have many seats, but since I slightly avoided peak dining hours, I didn't have to wait long, and the food came out quickly. The turkey rice had a nice flavor of chicken fat and pepper; it wasn't too greasy or dry. The red yeast rice pork tasted fine, but I personally found it a bit too fatty. Next time, I want to try another place for comparison. If you don’t want to wait in line, this is a good option.
