The selection of braised delicacies is diverse, priced cheaply but with milder flavors. The braised pig ears are fragrant, and the duck shank is crispy and tasty, making them suitable for those who want to add simple braised dishes to their meal.

Located in the Chiayi Cultural Road Night Market, there were so many people wanting to eat Dongshan duck head that I was too lazy to wait in line. I remembered this place was recommended by locals for its braised dishes, and there were also quite a few people when I visited. You can take a number and wait to be called to order, and then pick up your food. It’s even more convenient to order directly on Line; just pick it up when the time comes. I simply ordered the following popular items.
▪️Baiye (Bean Curd Skin) $10 ▪️Yam Cake $10
▪️Sweet Potato Balls $10 ▪️Tofu $10
▪️Pig Ears $20 ▪️Duck Tendon $20
Everything is at a very affordable price. Although the portions aren’t very large, it’s nice to be able to order many items. The flavors were milder than expected; maybe adding some spice would make it tastier. The pig ears were braised very well and smelled great. I wasn’t sure what the duck tendon was, but since it was marked as a popular item, I bought it. It was crunchy and pretty good.
Overall, the flavors were not particularly special, but the prices are cheap. If you want a simple meal with some braised dishes and vegetables, I think it’s alright—but I wouldn’t specifically come back.
